AMERICAN INJUSTICE: BLIND BUT NOT COLOR BLIND

American justice is a fallacy, according to many, who quote statistics showing how Blacks are treated compared to Whites. Similarly, even the laws are geared in a manner that carrying drugs that happen to be more common in Black neighborhoods, carry stiffer penalties than the same quantity of drugs being carried that are more common among White drug users. Similar differences can be shown to exist in how the death penalty is meted out.

The most common recent demonstration of American Injustice relates to cases where the accused happen to have been Muslims.

I personally find attempts to carry out terrorist attacks on civilians, especially in US cities, not just criminal but asinine and STUPID, especially when carried out as some sort of "punishment" for US policy towards Israel. I mean, just who is being punished when some dumb and ugly terrorist decides to blow up the World Trade Center or attempt something similar on an airliner, carrying ordinary men, women and children? It is the very "cause" that these lunatics are trying to gain support for.

Yet, what is annoying, though not surprising, to me is the fact that if you are a Muslim defendent in a US court accused of terrorism, you are guarunteed life imprisonment or death, even if the case against you cannot be proven. Yet, if you are a White American guilty and KNOWN to have commited even worse crimes, you will get much lighter treatment.

While I have no sympathy for the Egyptian cleric and his idiotic supporters if they indeed were behind the World Trade Center bombing, I am amazed that they were ALL found guilty even when the evidence was PURELY circumstantial.

McVeigh & Co. who killed more Americans and innocent people in one action will not be punished with death, nor will be the Unabomber despite ADMITTING to killing people in a planned manner over EIHGTEEN YEARS. Yet, Ramzi Yusuf, whose so-called victims were CIA related people (hardly innocent civilians or children), got a death sentence. (Note 2002: The remorseless McVeigh did die, though his supporters are all out there, still a threat to this nation's security. You and I are still paying taxes to keep the Unabomber alive).

So, if you want to commit a major crime but not pay the price, make sure you convert to a non-Muslim before you are arrested or tried! Or, you will pay with your life, whether proven guilty or not!
